WESTFIELD – Frank Spencer Cody passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 following a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Springfield, MA and attended Classical High school. He was a longtime resident of Westfield, MA.
He completed two years of college prior to starting his first insurance agency, which he successfully ran for almost 15 years. He met Rachel Shepard-Cody, who has been his loving wife and best friend, for over 20 years. In that same time he also started FSC Insurance, which he continued to manage until illness overcame him. Through his work he has touched innumerable lives.
In addition to his wife, he also leaves two sons, Benjamin L. Bragg, and Joseph S. Cody and his daughters-in-law, Julia Bragg, and Carla Cody. He has 3 granddaughters, whom he cherished, Caitlin Cody, Cayleigh Cody, and Lily Bragg. He also leaves behind his brother, Edward Cody, his wife Melissa and their daughter Susan. He was always quick to smile, and lend help when needed. He loved his family, he loved his life, and he loved living it. He was a wonderful husband, and a loving and supportive father.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, May 7th 2013 at 2:00 p.m., at the First Congregational Church 18 Broad Street in Westfield, MA. The family would ask that visitors bring a smile.
