Westfield – Frank W. Zawrotny, 102, (1914-2017) a lifelong Westfield resident, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 17, 2017. He was born in Westfield on September 17, 1914 to the late Walter and Rose (Pienkowski) Zawrotny. Frank served his country with the United States Army from 1943-1945 during WWII and was honorably discharged as a Tech 4. He was employed as a senior buyer for Stanley Home Products and retired in 1981. In retirement Frank and his family spent many years enjoying their time in Wellfleet on Cape Cod. Any day fishing on their boat was a good day! He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s National Catholic Church and former Chairman of the Westfield Planning Board. Frank was predeceased by his daughter Linda Lee Zawrotny in 1997 and is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years Lee (Wikowski) Zawrotny and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Home Service will be held for Frank on Tuesday at 12 Noon in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield MA 01085. A visiting hour will precede the service from 11-12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Westfield.
