WESTFIELD: Frederick C. Hadwin, 80, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Liverpool, England, to the late Laurence and Lillian (Dawson) Hadwin. He grew up and attended schools in England, and attended classes to become a machinist. Frederick immigrated to the United States in 1968 and settled in Westfield. He worked as a machinist for Berkshire Industries for 26 years, before retiring. He also enjoyed woodworking. Frederick was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years Catherine (Hughes) Hadwin in 2012 and is survived by his loving son, Michael L. Hadwin of Westfield, a brother Derek Hadwin of Vancouver, Canada, and his sisters, Joan Ball of Toronto, Canada and Brenda Law of Vancouver, Canada, and his cherished granddaughter, Madeline Hadwin of Westfield.
