On Thursday evening a reception was held for previous Grandmothers’ Garden Tour Host Gardener’s at Mr. R. Holcomb’s Overlook Drive garden. This was the kickoff event for the benefit weekend June 14-16 for Grandmothers’ Garden. Benefit events include a Garden Party at the Watkin’s Garden on the evening of June 14 and a Garden Tour of five local gardens on June 15 and 16. Tickets for the Garden Tour are available at Grandmothers’ Garden on Smith St. across from Westfield Voc-Tech on the days of the tour and are $20, $15 For seniors. Tickets can be used on both days for return visits if desired. Tickets for the Garden Party are $45 and are available by calling Bern Toomey at 562-9404 or Sandy and Bob Watkins at 569-5562. Tickets for both events are $60.
