WESTFIELD – The 18th Annual Westfield Woman’s Club Garden Tea will be held this year on Wednesday, June 24 at 1 p.m. at Stanley Park. This event is a major fundraiser for the Westfield Woman’s Club and helps to carry out the club’s mission in the community. From providing scholarships to local high school students, supporting area veterans through the Soldier On program, participating in the Community Table efforts, providing time and talent to Noble Hospital, and entertaining our neighbors through the Westfield Theater Group’s production, the Westfield Woman’s Club has been an integral part of Westfield and our neighboring communities since 1914.
Consuello Smith will be the 2015 Honoree. Smith has dedicated herself to the residents and programs of Westfield in many ways thoughout her life. She has contributed to and participated in many worthwhile organizations including the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, the Springfield Rescue Mission, the Pioneer Valley Reading Association, and many of the charities of the Westfield Woman’s Club while raising her family and working in the field of education.
The Garden Tea will begin with registration and served beverages. Following will be the Tea including light sandwiches and scones prepared by the Westfield Vocational Culinary students. There will be a hat parade, trifle parade and introduction of the honoree.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by calling Priscilla at 413 568-8994.
