Gary B. Gogol

WESTFIELD – Gary B. Gogol, 80 years old, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield to the late Paul and Stefania “Sally” (Jaross). He was a graduate of Westfield Vocational High School.

Gary proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a licensed electrician for General Electric in Pittsfield; upon their closing he went to work for Elm Electric Company in Westfield. After leaving Elm Electric he went to work for Jen-Coat and was their head electrician and then for Olympic Mfg., where he retired from.

Gary loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He vacationed for many years in Vermont with his family, fishing and boating on Lake Champlain. He was a trustee and Vice President of the Westfield Sportsman’s Club and was awarded a lifetime membership. He spent many hours helping at the club and enjoying it also.

Sadly, Gary was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Heath and years before by his brother Paul Gogol.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Maria “Diane” (Schultz) Gogol, a son-in-law Greg J. Heath of New Hampshire, and his cherished grandchildren, Drew T. Heath and Megan P. Heath, both of Westfield.

Visiting hours are on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Firtion Adams Funeral Service from 9-11 a.m., with a Funeral Home Service at 11 a.m. at Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield.
