WESTFIELD: Gary Leonard Forish, 67, of Westfield, MA. died on May 19, 2016 at home, with his two sons by his side.He fought leukemia for seven years with grace and dignity. He leaves behind his two sons, Shawn of Lynn, MA and Nathan of Defuniak Springs, Florida as well as his two brothers Mark of Georgia, PA and Eric of Russell, MA. He also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend Sally Smith of Westfield, along with many cousins,nephews and nieces. He also leaves his grandchildren Justina, and Troy.
Gary was predeceased by his father Leonard Thomas Forish (owner of Forish Construction) in 2006 and his mother Dorothy Pulaski, who just died on April 2016. Gary spent and donated much of his time to the one place he loved with all his heart and soul, Noble View Outdoor Center in Russell, MA, which is owned by Appalachian Mountain Club ( AMC ), and recently was honored for his contributions, hardworking and all his dedication, He truly will be missed by his loving sons Shawn and Nathan, family, closest friend Chris and lots of friends. There will be a service at Central Baptist Church, 15 Elm St., Westfield, MA.on June 6th at 10:30 a.m. followed by an ash spreading ceremony at the Appalachian Mountain Club, Noble View Outdoor Center in Russell, MA which will commence at 1:00 p.m. All donations to Central Baptist Church in Westfield.
