WESTFIELD: George A. Shaub, 82, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2015. He was born in Harrisburg, PA to the late Martha Shaub. George served his country with the United States Army. He was employed as a machine mechanic for H.P. Hood for many years. George was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Westfield and served on their Rural Mission for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and NASCAR. He was also an avid fan of the Westfield Adult Softball league and enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren play sports. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Ehrgood) Shaub, a daughter, Robbin A. Priest and a sister Catherine Glazer. George is survived by his son Scott Priest and his wife Kathleen of Westfield, his daughters, Lynn C. Jemilo and her husband Jim of Blandford and Kristen P. Hines and her husband Larry of Westfield, and his cherished 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to Baystate Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice for all of their help and kindness. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 4:00PM in the First United Methodist Church, 16 Court St. Westfield. He will be laid to rest next to his wife and daughter in a private ceremony in Pine Hill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in George’s name may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
