CHESTER – George B. Avery Jr., 61, of Chester died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Noble Hospital. He was born in Westfield on June 15, 1951 to George and Esther (Hague) Avery.
George was a graduate of Westfield Trade School and was a member of the Air National Guard in Westfield. He was employed as a truck Driver for Commercial Distributing in Westfield for sixteen years and he was recently employed at Prolamina, formerly JenCoat in Westfield. George enjoyed restoring old cars and racing at Lebanon Valley Speedway.
He was the beloved of son of George B. Avery Sr. who died in 2004. He leaves his wife, Karen L. (Sianio) Avery of Chester; his beloved daughter, Missy DeVoie and a son, Christopher Avery both of West Springfield and a son, Steven Avery of Westfield. George also leaves five grandchildren, Tyler Trompke, Brian Cayo Jr., Logan DeVoie and Alexis and Katlyn Avery. He will be missed by aunts and uncles, Sandy and Richard Hague and Anita and Burton Macia.
Funeral and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted.
