Southwick- George Leuie Mac Ewan, 86, of Southwick died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility in Greenfield.
He was born May 5, 1930 in Westfield MA. the son of Walter and Ethel (Greenwood) Mac Ewan. George was a United States Marine serving during the Korean Conflict and was a life member of the American Legion.
He retired from Westfield State College University where he was employed as a stationary fireman in the physical plant. George enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife the former Barbara Gaskalka, two daughters; Rebecca Mac Ewan of West Springfield, Debra Karieva and her husband, Kent, of Greenfield, a granddaughter Lucy Karieva, and a sister Ester Lindsey of VA. He was predeceased by a brother William Darius Mac Ewan.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
