CHESTER – Gerard E. Proulx, 83, (1939-2023) passed away at Genesis Westfield Center on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Gerry was born in Holyoke, MA on June 1, 1939, to Joseph Proulx and Juliette (Peloquin) Proulx.
Gerry was a skilled carpenter and had a successful career building beautiful homes throughout MA. He was meticulously detail-oriented and took great pride in his work. He was a member of the Southwick Rotary Club and three-time past President. Gerry was an avid supporter of his grandchildren’s sporting games, one of his favorite pastimes was to watch them play. He was also an avid fan of NASCAR, the Red Sox, and Baseball.
Gerry is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Juliette Proulx, his son Gerry Proulx, his daughter Jacquline Proulx, his brothers Roger Proulx and Jean Paul Proulx.
He is survived by his daughter Angelique Gallion and her fiancé James Bennett, his son Denis Proulx and his wife Lynn, his brothers Armond Proulx and his wife Jeanne, Maurice Proulx and his wife Karen, and Norman Proulx and his wife Paula, his grandchildren: Alexander Dlugoborski, Dominque Dlugoborski, and Jakub Dlugoborski, Michael Proulx and his wife Marita, Alynne Gallion, and Garrett Gallion, along with many other family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 4:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m. at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC, 691 College Hwy, Southwick, MA 01077. A funeral home service will be held at 5:30 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
