WESTFIELD – Gordon H. Hannum, 65, of Westfield died Monday, July 8, 2013 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield on September 19, 1947 to Ernest D. and Sadie G. (Dumas) Hannum.
Gordon was a graduate of Westfield Trade School and was employed as a lift Operator for Servistar and also worked as a machine adjuster for Old Colony Envelope. He was active at one time with Mt. Moriah Lodge, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Oriental Band of Melha Shrine. Gordon also coached Little League Baseball.
He leaves two sons, Gregg H. and Todd D. Hannum both of Westfield; a brother, George D. Hannum of Westfield; three sisters, June Ciepiela of Westfield, Jean May of Florida and Ernestine Machesney of Yarmouth, ME. Gordon also leaves his wife, Marianne C. (Dudas) Hannum and his grandchildren, Bryanna, Samantha, Tyler and Alesha Hannum all of Westfield. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Kenworthy.
The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
