SOUTHAMPTON – Harvey Benoit, 89, of Southampton died peacefully in his home on May 16, 2022. He was born in Springfield to Joseph and 
Lillian (Chabot) Benoit on December 16, 1932. Harvey spent his teenage years living in Southwick with his dad and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Westfield. He soon entered the Army and spent time in Germany during the Korean conflict. He married Esther Lafreniere and they moved to Westfield and raised their four children.
He was predeceased by his parents, sister Diane Clough and brother Ronald Benoit. Two daughters, Dawn Benoit and Lillian Kenworthy, also predeceased him.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Wheeler) Benoit, sons David and Ricky Benoit, brothers-in-law Phillip Clough; Michael and Douglas Wheeler. Grandchildren Stacy Kenworthy, Ian Kenworthy and Kyle Benoit. Four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Liturgy will be held Saturday, May 28th at 11am in the Our Lady of the Valley Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton. Military honors will follow.
