WESTFIELD – Helen (Niedzwiecki) Bovino, 84, of Westfield died Thursday, March 20, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was born in Westfield on April 5th 1929 to Mikolaj and Mary Zyzkowski Niedzwiecki. She was a graduate of Westfield High School and was employed as a wheel assembler for Columbia Bicycle for forty-five years retiring in 1992.
Helen was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield, a devoted mother, enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. She was the devoted wife for 63 years and the widow of Arthur B. Bovino who died on September 16th 2012.
Helen leaves three sons, Arthur B. Bovino Jr. of Merrick, NY, Samuel M. Bovino of Southwick and Vincent T. Bovino of Westfield. She also leaves a sister, Ladis Cennamo of Westfield; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral and burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Helen’s memory be made to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
