HYANNIS – Helen Elizabeth Ott (Macdonald), 88, of Hyannis, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was born in Eldoret, Kenya on July 31, 1928, the daughter of the late Angus and Josephine Macdonald. She is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Edward K. Ott.
Helen loved bowling and playing card games with her friends and family and was an active member of the Villagers and the Barnstable Senior Center.
Helen is survived by her sons David and his wife Norma Jean of Westfield and Roderick and his wife Jean of Dedham; and her daughters Norma Kirchgessner of Stoughton, Beth Dutra and her husband Robert of Stoughton, and Maureen Adams and her husband George of Merrimack, NH. She is also survived by her sister Sheila Morrison of Florida, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A gathering in memory of Helen will be held on Saturday, October 15th at the Barnstable Senior Center (825 Falmouth Rd, Hyannis) from 1pm to 3pm.
