Westfield-Helen M. (Foley) Davieau, 86 (1930-2016) died Sunday in Westfield. Born in West Springfield, she became a resident of Westfield in 1951. Helen retired after 18 years from Central Supply at Western Mass. Hospital, Westfield. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Westfield and enjoyed the holidays and bowling. She was always giving and helpful to family and friends who will miss her beautiful smile.
Helen was the widow of Ernest Davieau who died in 2009. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Ella Foley and her brothers Paul and James Foley.
She leaves her daughters, Patricia King and husband Christopher of Westfield and Kathleen Brindle and husband Scott of Longmeadow; two sisters, Ruth Moore of Minnesota and Clara Meyer of Florida; a step-daughter Cathy Phillips and husband Steve of Westfield; three step-sons Ernest, Francis and Mark Davieau; six grandchildren; Kristen Sgroi, Jeffrey King, Nathan King, Brooke Brindle, Matthew Grimsley and Charlene Gilbert and 13 great-grandchildren. Helen’s family would like to thank the Armbrook Village and Compass Unit staff and Baystate Hospice for their compassionate and professional care.
A visiting hour will be held Friday from 9 to 10 am at the Robert E. Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St.-Rte. 20, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
