WESTFIELD: 
Helen R. (Pearce) Willis, 97, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Westfield Gardens Nursing Home. She was born in Westfield to the late George and Ellen (Trant) Pearce and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Helen was employed as an operator for the former Bell Telephone. She was a member of the Women’s Sodality at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament and very active in church functions. Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis H. Willis in 1991, and her brothers Thomas Pearce and George Pearce. She is survived by her loving children, Robert F. Willis and his wife Martha of Palmer, Richard D. Willis and his wife Robbin of W. Suffield, CT and Jean M. Willis of Fall River, MA, her cherished grandchildren, Meighan Williams, Laura Snyder and Andrew Willis and her great granddaughter Mya Snyder. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 11AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the Mass from 9:30-10:30AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen’s name may be directed to the Salvation Army, 170 Pearl St. Springfield, MA 01105.
