Huntington Fire Department observes 9-11

HUNTINGTON – The Huntington Fire Department observed the 15th anniversary of September 11 on Sunday morning by placing flags on the town green. The ceremony moved to the Fire Department down the road due to an impending storm, where four sirens were sounded to mark the four planes that went down in New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania.

The ceremony ended with “Amazing Grace,” played on the bagpipes by Capt. John McVeigh, while members of the department stood and saluted the heroes who were lost that day.
