SOUTHWICK – Irene R. Kmiecik, 90, (1933-2024) of 58 Sawmill Park passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 at home. Irene was born July 16th, 1933. She was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Kasukovich) Bartkus of Westfield.
In addition to her parents Irene was also predeceased by her husband Jerome, her son Lawrence and her brother John.
She is survived by her sister Joanne Couch and her husband Bernard along with their family. She also leaves her daughter Janet Jankura and her family of Richfield OH.
A special thanks to Holyoke VNA Hospice Life Care and to all her caregivers who provided Irene the best in-home care for many years, especially her niece Diane Miller, Terry, Brenda, Eileen, Lisa L., Tori, Lisa B., Mary, Tina and Anna.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter & St. Casimir Parish, State Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
