COVINGTON, LA: Jack Robert Shugg, Jr., 64, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at his home in Covington, LA. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to the late Jack Robert Shugg, Sr. and Mary Jayne Telford Shugg. Jack was married to his beloved wife, Joyce Shannon Shugg, for 32 years and together they had one son, Tyler Andrew Shugg. He was the dear brother of Cathy Shugg of Plainfield, MA and Debra Michaud of Westfield, MA. Jack leaves many loving in-laws and nieces and nephews. Jack was known as “Bob” to his family and early Westfield friends. He was a 1968 graduate of Westfield High School and attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. Jack began his career in the insurance industry at USF&G in 1973. At the time of his death was the compliance officer at Eustis Insurance Agency in New Orleans, LA. He served as a youth recreational league soccer coach and was a long time soccer official at both the recreational and high school levels. Jack enjoyed spending Saturdays in the Fall watching Notre Dame football surrounded by his loving greyhounds.
