James C. “Jim” Sulewski, 64, of Columbia St. died at Country Estates, Agawam. He was a dispatcher for the Westfield Police Department since 1997. Jim often stated that this was by far the best job he ever had. He will very much miss his great friends at the station. The people of Westfield should be very proud to have such dedicated men and women working for them. They are the very best! Jim was a graduate of Westfield State College, and was top of his class at Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He also worked for many years as a “DJ” for local radio stations. James leaves his cousins Jack Yarmesky, Darlene Parsons, Dennis Yarmesky and Ron Rodriguez. Jim’s loving mom Sophie Sulewski, passed away in 2005, she was greatly loved and missed. His dad, Charles Sulewski, died in 1991. He would not want to forget his Bassett Hound “Roxie” who died in 2008. Jim leaves many great friends behind including Frank Mika, Nancy Darnell and Bob and Cory Tomasini, plus his many fellow Italian Fraternal Club members and friends. He could not begin to name all the great friends that he made over the years at the Pulaski Club. A final “interlocking N-Y salute” to all. Love Ya! James was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Polish National Catholic Church in Westfield. Funeral services will be private. Firtion Adams FS is in charge of all arrangements.
