WESTFIELD – (January 29, 1949 ~ August 28, 2016) Jimmy was born and raised in Westfield, MA. He was a resident of Russell, MA for 40 years. He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Mildred (Sanville) Barlow as well as his brother Daniel and his oldest daughter Kerrilyn. He leaves behind his wife, Rita Barlow of 46 years, together for 51 years. He was the father of the five Barlow girls: Kerrilyn Webster, Kristin and Todd Smith, Kolleen Barlow and Robert Pronovost, Kathleen and Barret Miller, and Katelyn and Robert DeCoteau. He was the proud grandfather to Brooke, Billy, Sam, Amanda, Chelsee, Tayler, Sara, Eric, Cameron, Morgan, Erica, Rachael, JJ, Jimmy, Jake, and Kane; the great-grampy to Anthony, Aubrey, Olivia, and Alexavier. He was also Grampa to many neighborhood children. He leaves behind a brother Robert Barlow and family of Westfield, MA. He attended Westfield Voke. He was part of the 104th Air National Guard, as well as a member of the Russell Volunteer Fire Department for over 16 years. His passion for truck driving started at the age of ten delivering potatoes with his father. He loved his family, friends, camping, tractor pulls, skiing, and helping others. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Thursday, September 1st from 4 to 8 PM at the Russell VFW, Huntington Road—Route 20, Russell.
