CLEARWATER, FL – Jim passed away in Clearwater, Florida after a hard fought battle with cancer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S Beatty.
He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and building things. He was president of the U.S.S. Beatty reunion committee which allowed him to stay in touch with his shipmates and friends to the end. Jim worked for many years as a salesman and plant manager in the packaging industry.
After retirement Jim moved to Clearwater Florida where he lived with his wife Theresa Mayne and her family.
Jim was pre-deceased by his wife Barbara Drumm Mayne of Westfield. He leaves his brother Artie (Maryann) Mayne and his nephew Jamie Mayne of St. Augustine Florida. He is survived by his son William (Sara) Mayne of Westfield. His grandchildren Jesse Mayne, Justin (Missy) King, Jeremy (Nicole) King of New Jersey. He also leaves his great grandchildren Leighton (Richelle) King, Matthew, Evan, Ben, Isaiah, and Canyon King. His great-great granddaughter Peyton King of Blandford, and his niece Tiffany (Peter) Lynch of West Springfield.
Calling hours will be Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 at The Firtion Adams Funeral home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, with a celebration of life ceremony immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to www.mission22.com/contribute firtionadams.com
