BRADENTON, FL – Janet L. Hauk, 90, of Bradenton Florida passed away peacefully January 5, 2013 at Freedom Village Bradenton Florida. Born in Woodhaven, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas J and Josephine B Lawlor.
She was predeceased by her husband, G William “Bill” Hauk. Janet graduated from Bucknell University Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 1944 with a BA degree. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, belonged to the Greeteretes of Sahib Shrine in Sarasota and was an Associate at Beals for many years.
Survivors include her son, Rick Hauk and his wife Linda of Westfield, MA; daughter, Diane Davis her husband Ken of Bradenton, Florida and two grandchildren, Jeff Hauk and his wife Tara of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rebecca “Becky” Hauk Miller her husband Neil of Franklin, MA and two great-grandchildren, Kyle Hauk and Luke Hauk of Charlotte, North Carolina. Janet’s wishes were to be cremated with no service.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Manatee County, 2515 14th Street, West Bradenton, FL 34205. A future private service will be planned with interment with her late husband Bill and their dog Suzy.
