WESTFIELD – 
Joan Philbrook, 79, (1940-2020) passed away on February 10, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born in Westfield to the late Alfred and Sophie Rehor and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Joan retired from the copy center at Westfield State University in 1998. She was an avid gardener, liked to travel and sew. She enjoyed her retirement going to Florida and her passion was her grandchildren and her great granddaughter. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend for 55 years, Whitney Philbrook, brother, Alfred Rehor, Jr. and brother-in-law, Russell Philbrook. She is survived by her loving children, Deborah Snape and her husband Michael of Huntington, Michael Philbrook and his wife Teresa Cotnoir of Westhampton, and Kelly Hill and her husband Keith of Becket, her cherished grandchildren, Michael Clemente, Tim D’Astous, Becca D’Astous, Alex Philbrook, Madison Philbrook, step grandchildren, Megan Hill and Kristin Hill, great granddaughter Caitlin Philbrook, sister Nancy Fioroni and her husband Donald of Westfield and sister-in-law Judy Philbrook of Blandford.
Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Erica Gonzalez and Janine Schebel for the care, comfort and support given to Joan. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 with a Mass at 9:30AM in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd., Westfield with burial to follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
