RUSSELL – John A. Carlson Jr. of Russell died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the U Mass Medical Center in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Mary A. (Foti) Carlson; two sons, James Carlson of Southampton and Robert Sweatland of Southwick. John also leaves two step sons, Mark Mszanski of Mendon, NJ and Arthur Mszanski of East Quague, NY; two step daughters, Karen Penta of Yarmouthport and Sandra Garen of Russell; two sisters, Eleanor Noret of Westfield and June Johnson of Agawam; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road Westfield, MA at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Feeding Hills Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will precede the service at the funeral home from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
