WESTFIELD: John D. Bruce, 86, (1934-2021) passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Tufts Medical Center. He was born in Springfield to the late Laurance and Mary (Clark) Bruce.
John was a dental lab technician and owned and operated Bruce Dental Lab from 1963-2011, retiring at the age of 77. He was a Mason, a Shriner and marched in parades with the Highlanders, and also a member of Kiwanis. He loved gardening, doing yardwork, his chocolate labs, collecting coins and stamps, and vacationing in Eastham on Cape Cod every year.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Martha B. (Bingham) Bruce of Westfield, his loving sons, Laurance D. Bruce of Westfield and John D. Bruce and his wife Beth Sager of Lexington, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Catherine, Cameron and Emerson. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Sandra Bruce and Shirley Furkey.
