SOUTH HADLEY – John F. “Jack” Royland, Sr., 74, (1942 – 2016) passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Wingate of South Hadley. He was born in Pittsfield, MA to the late Frank and Lillian (Janse) Royland. Jack was employed over 18 years, as the caretaker for Immaculate Conception Church, St. Sebastian’s Cemetery and Riverbend Cemetery in Westerly, R.I. His love of his life was his children and grandchildren; he enjoyed riding his Harley and was a longtime friend of Bill W. Jack is survived by his loving children, John F. “Jack” Royland, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Holyoke, Kathryn A. Plumadore and her husband Robert of Springfield and James J. Royland and his wife Christine of Michigan, and their mother Christine Lary, his brothers, Ralph Royland and Michael Royland and a sister Karen Falcetti, all of Westfield, 7 cherished grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Kososki, and three brothers, Edward Royland, Frank “Sonny” Royland and William Royland. A Graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 AM in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Rocky Hill Rd. Hadley. There are no calling hours. www.firtionadams.com. There will be a gathering at East Mountain Country Club following the graveside service starting at 12:30pm.
