WESTFIELD-John H. Maciorowski, 84, (1931-2016) passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016, with his family by his side. He worked as a sawyer at Renwood Lumber for 45 years where he mastered woodworking. He enjoyed puttering in his workshop and loved the outdoors. He was happiest working in the garden, mowing lawns, sitting in the back yard and ridding his favorite lawnmower. John treasured his memories of family vacations on Wells Beach, ME. Most of all, he took pride in his Christmas light display. He was proud of living on his family homestead his entire life. His greatest joy was going to and supporting all of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He rarely missed a game and you could always be sure to see Grandpa cheering them on. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Dolores who he loved dearly. John also leaves behind 3 daughters and sons-in-law, who were like sons to him; Jude & Steve Patrick, Karen & Sean Pierce and Janet & Dave Mayhew. He is survived by his grandchildren and their families; Matthew, Madalyn and Mason Patrick, Stephanie, Mike and Colton Rowe, Kyle, Maegan Webb & Colin Pierce, Brett Pierce, Elyse and Adam Mayhew, who were the apples of his eye. He also leaves a sister Agnes Lesniewski. Sadly he is predeceased by his daughter Gail who took a little of his heart with her. All services are private, per John’s request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to Greater Westfield Babe Ruth, PO Box 431, Westfield, MA 01086. End of Life services entrusted to Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Hwy., Southwick, MA 01077. Please visit www.avaloncelebrations.com
