Westfield – John T. Conniff, 73, died Friday, October 14, 2016 in a local nursing home. He was born in Springfield on January 2, 1943 to the late Michael and Josephine (Strzempka) Conniff. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield attended St. Mary’s Schools and was 1960 Graduate of St. Mary’s High School. He received a Bachelors and Master’s degree in accounting from American International College. He was an accounting supervisor for Old Colony Envelope Co. for 20 years. He was the City Purchasing Director for Westfield for 17 years retiring in 2002. Jack was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, a member of the Rotary Club and a member of the Historical Society. He leaves his brother Paul Conniff and his wife Patricia of Hopewell Jct., NY, 3 nephews Brendan, Kevin and Danny Conniff and his niece Cheryl Tucker, 2 cousins Susan Raymond and Patricia Raymond-Talbot. The funeral will be held on Friday October 21st at 9:30 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Firtionadams.com
