Westfield – John Urban, 54, entered into eternal peace after a brave battle with cancer on December 25th, 2016. He passed with his beloved partner Renee McNamara holding his hand. John’s parents are Kazimier and Irena Urban of Westfield. He was predeceased by his brother Zdzislaw Urban. He also leaves his siblings, Lester “Jerry” Urban of Westfield, Sophie Parker and her husband Ward of Cape Cod, Anna Urban of Westfield, Andrew Urban and his wife Gail of Westfield and Donna Gauthier and her husband David of Chester, his nieces Tania and her husband Chris, Amanda, Natalie and Izabela, his nephews Robert and his wife Anjali, Andrew and Nathan and three great nieces and one great nephew. He also leaves Renee’s daughter and son-in-law Shanna and Kevin Hebert and their son Macksen who was John’s “little buddy.” John worked at HB Smith for over 25 years. Most recently, he was employed at Savage Arms. John was a skilled self-taught craftsman. He loved the outdoors. John’s passion were fishing, hunting, Renee and being with his loved ones. We would like to acknowledge the quality care he received at Dana-Farber Boston MA and Masonicare of Wallingford CT, as well as the loving support from family and friends. John’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 meeting directly at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church, Elm St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-6PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA.
