WESTFIELD: Jose Centeno, (1938-2015) 76, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in Noble Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Puerto Rico, Jose was a lifelong resident of Massachusetts. He was a machinist for several local businesses for many years. Jose was a parishioner of St Mary’s Parish in Westfield and a member of the Cursillo Movement. He was predeceased by his wife Aida (Martinez) in 2005. Jose is survived by 3 daughters, Lillian Centeno of Westfield, Rosita Velez and her husband Johnny of Springfield, and Ivelisse Franco and her husband Dickson of Westfield; 4 grandchildren, Joselyne, Naima, Lucas, and Sophia; along with 2 great granchildren Analyne and Emmilee. Jose also leaves 3 sisters, Santa, Aide, and Jovita. The funeral for Jose will take place on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 9:30 am from the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main St (Rt 20). A mass of christian burial will follow at 10:30 am in St Mary’s Church, Bartlett St, both in Westfield. Burial will follow in St Jerome’s Cemetery on Northampton St in Holyoke. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-6 pm at the funeral home.
