Rockledge, FL – Judith M. (Miller) Wolanin, 73, (1943-2017) passed away on May 4, 2017 at home in Rockledge, FL, surrounded by her family. She was a longtime resident of Westfield, Chicopee and Rockledge, Florida, where she enjoyed her winters. She was born in East Longmeadow to the late Kenneth and Thelma (Norberry) Miller. Judy graduated from Westfield High School and went on to continue her education at Trade High School in Springfield, where she completed the Surgical Technician course with honors. A few years later, she pursued a degree as a Registered Nurse at Holyoke Community College, where she graduated top of her class Summa Cum Laude. She went on to work as a RN at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Agawam and then Noble Hospital where she retired after many years. Judy was a lifetime member of First Congregational Church in Westfield, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved cats, horses and most of all, her family. Judy will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 53 years, Laurence E. Wolanin of Chicopee, her loving children, Debra J. Wolanin-Kennedy of Rockledge, FL and David L. Wolanin and his wife Donna of Westfield, her two cherished grandchildren Jacob and Rebecca Wolanin of Westfield, her sister Joan Gielda and her husband Robert of Agawam and her sister-in-law Joan Kennedy and her husband Thomas of Westfield. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 11AM at the First Congregational Church, 18 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
