WESTFIELD – Julia A. (Wantuch) Jegelewicz, 95, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Julia was born in Westfield on December 8, 1915 to Polish immigrants, Joseph and Agnes (Piecuch) Wantuch .
She was the widow of Adolph Jegelewicz and a member of Holy Trinity Church. Julia was a homemaker and a caregiver to her parents along with helping at her parents small farm which became Wantuch Perennials with her sister Rose, selling flowers, vegetables and producing floral arrangements.
Julia leaves a sister, Rose A. (Wantuch) Bajurny; nephews, Stephen J. Bajurny (Barbara) of Southwick, MA; Stanley Wantuch,Jr. (Sandy) of Westfield; nieces, Alice J. (Bajurny) Macierowski (Neil) of West Springfield, Sandra (Wantuch) Collier of Westfield and Susan (Wantuch) Falcetti (Robert) of Florida. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Betty Rose and a brother, Stanley Wantuch Sr. The family would like to thank Renate and Juergen Mainer for their friendship and support.
The Funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Trinity Church, Elm Street Westfield, MA at 10:00 a.m.with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
