WESTFIELD – Julia W. (Florek) Zomek died Monday, July 1, 2013 in a local nursing home. Born and raised in Westfield.
Julia attended Westfield High School and was a resident of Southwick for over 50 years before moving back to Westfield 10 years ago. Julia was a retired accountant for the Southwick Ski Resort and the F.W. Zomek Construction Co. for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. Zomek in 1992. Julia was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church, Westfield. She enjoyed piano playing, golfing, bowling, and traveling. She leaves 3 sons, Frank J and his wife Judith of Westfield, Lawrence P. of Florida, and David and his wife Dorcas of Southwick; two brothers, Stanley and Edward Florek of Westfield; and two sisters, Mary Zomek of Southwick, and Gertrude Burek of Westfield.
Her funeral and visitation will be Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by services at 10:30 a.m. at the Robert E Cusack Funeral Home, 94 Main Street (Route 20). Burial will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, both in Westfield.
