Robert W. McCarthy III, 52, of 177 Wollaston St., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 8 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of failure to stop or yield, failure to slow and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor brought by State Police.
Kenneth R. Schubert, 41, of 38 Florence Ave., Holyoke, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 8 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a motor vehicle lights brought by Westfield police.
Nicholas J. J. DiSanto, 23, of 69 City View Boulevard, admitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony and larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Southwick police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for two years. He was assessed $50 and required to remain drug and alcohol free and submit to random testing. The judge stipulated as an alternative sentence a two year term in the Ludlow jail.
Zachary J. VanWert, 19, of 1081 Huntington Road, Russell, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 17 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor.
Luis Rivera, 42, of 1352 Elm St., West Springfield, saw a charge of larceny from a building not prosecuted. In a separate case also brought by Westfield police, Rivera was sentenced to a three month term in the house of correction to be served concurrently with a term imposed for an unrelated offense.
