HOLYOKE: Kathleen “Auntie” Kathy Nawskon Pike a lifelong resident of Holyoke and Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away on October 3rd after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving husband of 51 years, Dennis J. Pike of Holyoke, her son Tony Pike of Worthington, and daughters Angie Masi of Holyoke, and Kelly Carpenter of Holyoke. She was mother-in-law to Paula Hebert-Pike, James Masi and Patrick Carpenter and an extremely proud Grammy/Mimi to Cullen, Aidan, Addison, Josef, Travis, Rielyn, Isabella, and Sawyer.
Kathy was predeceased by her father Edward Nawskon, her mother Frances Rudat, her stepfather William Rudat and her son Joseph (Baby Joey) Pike, and her sister-in-law Tracy Nawskon. Kathy was the older sister of Diane Brunelle of Holyoke and her husband Wade and Edward Nawskon of Agawam. Kathy was the beloved Auntie to many special nieces and nephews. As a daycare provider for forty years, she supported, nurtured, and loved as family an untold number of children. Anyone who knew Kathy was touched by her limitless capacity to love.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Holy Trinity Church of 335 Elm St, Westfield. Calling hours will be Friday, October 9 from 4-7 at Firtion Adams Funeral Home in Westfield. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 10th at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Westfield, followed by a burial service at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. Firtionadams.com
