WESTFIELD – Kathryn Ann (Macsisak) Andreski (1927-2023) was born in Westfield MA to Anne (Majiros) and Stephen Macsisak on January 20th, 1927. Stephen and Ann emigrated from Slovakia and Kathryn was very proud of her Slovak heritage and lived in a Slovak community on Cleveland Avenue. She attended schools in Westfield and graduated from Westfield High in 1945. She was a hairdresser for Fran’s Beauty Shop and married Edward Andreski in 1948. They had three children, Edward of Dover NH, Susan Copp of Alton Bay NH, and Gary of Lebanon CT. Her husband died suddenly in 1984; was co-founder and Vice President of Micro Abrasives Corporation of which Kathryn served as a director for many years. Kathryn and her husband had many memorable years together and loved to travel with the family, especially in their motor home!
She was predeceased by her brothers, Stephen, Paul, John and Francis.
She also leaves behind her beloved children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 9 a.m. from the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, State Street, Westfield. Burial will conclude her services in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Road, Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. www.firtionadams.com
