SOUTHWICK – Leah Clara (Posacco) Cadello, 90, passed away on August 28, 2013 at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH. She was born April 10, 1923 the daughter of the late Bortolo and Giacomina Posacco of Veneto, Italy.
Leah grew up in Stafford Springs, CT and attended local schools there. After high school, Leah worked at Strathmore Paper Company through the 1990’s and retired after 45 years of service. She was a longtime resident of Southwick. Leah will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Cadello in 1984; her twin brother who died at birth; two brothers, Reno and Fosco Posacco and her sister, Virginia Williams. She is survived by her sister, Agusta Barfaleau of Enfield, CT; two sons, David Stevens of Blandford, MA and Richard Stevens and his wife Margot of Bath, NH; three grandsons, Richard Stevens and his wife Sofia of Ashfield, MA, Michael Stevens and his wife Heidi of Kentucky, Brett Stevens and his wife Gina of Russell, MA; one granddaughter, Serena Stevens of Enfield, CT; nine great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass celebrating Leah’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield at 8:30 a.m. on September 14, 2013.
