Dear City Council President Bean,
Unelected regulators are the bane of businesses and citizens. WBID is just that. Able to “tax” businesses (fees for which no vote is taken) in its purview and decide which projects are “correct” for the unsuspecting, ignored community, the WBID is just another layer of regulatory intrusion.
Frankly, it is bad enough that projects are designed, approved and implemented without much citizen input by the city government – of which you are a part. We have not needed, do not and will not need the WBID.
