Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:
It is indeed discouraging to hear that there was an incident reported in Thursday’s Pulse Line regarding the inappropriate behavior of several visitors to Stanley Park on April 21st.
Our request is that when anyone sees this kind of behavior at Stanley Park, regarding rock-throwing or any other unacceptable conduct, we suggest the following to assist us to stop this kind of display of a lack of consideration to others.
· Call our on-duty Ranger directly 413-297-9455 and let them know of the incident.
· Make a note of the date, time and area location. We can go to the video and capture the incident.
· The writer stated they were hanging around a min-van. Please take down the license plate number of the vehicle.
· You can always call the Westfield Police. They will respond, if available and make contact with the Rangers or other Park Staff.
· Do not put yourself in any danger in any way at all.
We need your help in making sure we keep our visitors, wildlife and facility safe. Writing this information to the PulseLine in the Thursday edition, with no backup assistance as noted above, does not make the identity of these inconsiderate individuals easy to locate.
We sincerely hope that everyone will visit Stanley Park and enjoy our 65th year.
