To the Editor,
I remember when I first heard about Woodstock. It was a time in Vietnam when my Infantry platoon had just been involved in several “firefights”. As a “point man”, I was always aware of the situation. When we got back to the base camp, I was looking around to see who made it back. I knew we suffered “casualties”, but I wasn’t sure who. I was looking around and our medic came over to me. In his hand was a magazine with pictures from Woodstock. I believe my heart skipped a beat or two. Some of my friends were at Woodstock and some of my friends were in Vietnam.
