AGAWAM – Lillian Rubin, 89, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on August 22, 2012 at Country Estates of Agawam. She was born in New Haven, CT to the late Sam and Bessie Mendelstein and lived there most of her life until moving to Westfield 2 years ago to be with family.She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Irving Rubin in 2003. She leaves her daughter, Sharon Zwerling and her husband Edward of Northport, NY; her son, Richard Rubin and his wife, Barbara of Westfield; her grandchildren, Amanda Hayes and her husband Jeffrey of Arlington, MA, and Jason Rubin and his wife, Edina of Feeding Hills; her two great-grandchildren, Julia and Aiden Rubin; and her sister, Ruth Raflowitz of Hamden, CT.
Services were held on August 24, 2012 in New Haven, CT.
