Llewellyn Denison Densmore, Jr., of Westfield, MA., passed away at age 89 on May 15, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Llewellyn was born in Barre, Vt. on December 15, 1929 to Llewellyn and Ruth Densmore Sr. He was an honor student who loved music, sports and a good laugh. Llewellyn graduated high school in 1947 and got his first job at Anderson’s. He joined the Air Force in 1951 in which he served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. After nearly 22 years of service, he retired from the Air Force as a Supply and Logistics Manager, in 1972. While in Vietnam, he met, fell in love, and married Anne Marie. They had to evacuate shortly after their son David was born. The family moved to Saudi Arabia in 1975 where he was employed by Northrop Aircraft Company. They had Denise during the early years of the family’s stay in Saudi Arabia (1975 – 1995) where they enjoyed many travels abroad. The family then returned home to their central NY farm, before eventually moving back to Westfield, MA in 2009. A devoted husband, father, and brother, Llewellyn is survived by his wife, Anne Marie; son, David Densmore; daughter, Denise and 4 grandchildren; sister, Betty Coughlin; sister, Lyle Miller; sister, Floene Young; sister, Lorene Liberty. Calling hours will be at Firtion Adams Funeral Service from 8:30-10:30am on May 18. The funeral and burial will be private.
