Southwick – Lorraine T. Lawrence, 88, of Southwick, beloved wife of the late Earl Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Spencer, MA on May 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Leona (Plasse) Sasseville. She was a longtime member of the Southwick Council on Aging from 1998-2015, serving as the Chairman for several years. Lorraine’s greatest joy in life was her family and she left them with a remarkable legacy of love. She’ll be dearly missed by the Southwick community and her loving family and friends. She leaves her son Dan Lawrence of Enfield, CT; 2 daughters, Gail Disavino and her husband Michael of Manchester, MD, and Karen Mullen of Fairhaven, MA; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Joan Caruso of Huntington Station, Long Island, and Madeleine Rebstock of Fort Myers, FL. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21st from 9-11 AM at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 224 Sheep Pasture Rd. Southwick. Burial will be in New Cemetery, Southwick.
