Madaline E. (Nemec) Carroll, 85, of Westfield passed away surrounded by family on Monday, November 19, 2018. Born in Westfield on August 31, 1933 to the late Joseph and Emilie (Kovar) Nemec, she lived in Westfield for many years. She was a graduate of Westfield High School and was employed by White’s Quaint Shop and Robinson Reminders. She enjoyed crafts, spending time with family and friends, including those at TOPS, as well as camping in Vermont with her friends and husband of 37 years. Madaline is survived by her beloved husband William, her step-children Joanne (Keith) Nichols, Janice (Bill) Lea, Anne (David) Iserman, and William (Cassie) Carroll, nieces Carol Skrodzki, Nancy Charkiewicz, Virginia Grenier, Louise Sullivan, and Donna Kahlin, nephews Steven Estock, Ernie, Robert and Richard Bramucci, and Donald, Paul, William, Joseph, Jeffrey and John Nemec, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, She was predeceased by her siblings John, Joseph, George, and Edward Nemec, Anna Petranek, Emily Estock, Betty Olechna, and Rose Bramucci-Spadoni, and grandson Billy Lea. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 28 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm in Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St. Westfield, with a Funeral Service at 1PM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Main St, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517
