On Wednesday night the Westfield Interfaith Center for Congregation Ahavas Achim’s celebrated Purim. Purim is a light-hearted holiday commemorating the liberation of the Jews in Persia 1500 years ago. Children and adults participate by dressing up in costumes and shaking the graggers or noisemakers during the reading of the Book of Esther.
