WESTFIELD – Margaret Ann (Scott) Webersen, 81, (1941 – 2023) of Westfield, MA passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023. Margaret (Peg) was born on November 26, 1941 in Northampton, MA, daughter of Hugh C. Scott and Edna (Johnson) Scott.
Peg is predeceased by her husband Lee Webersen (1986). Peg is survived by her two children, her son Steven (Anna) Webersen of West Hartford, CT and grandsons Will and Ben; and her daughter Cynthia (Brian) Sullivan of Southampton, MA, granddaughters Erica (Michael) Madara and Paige, and great-granddaughter Eliza Margaret. Peg is also survived by her siblings Elinor (Dan) Pettee of Grand Rapids, MI and Hugh C. (Susan) Scott, III of Southampton, MA and her sister-in-law Paula (Gale) Ensign of Saratoga, CA. Peg was also predeceased by her stepmother, Miriam, her stepbrother, Robert Harrington and long-time companion, Frank Mitchell.
Peg graduated from Easthampton High School and soon after married her beloved husband Lee in 1960, and they raised their family in Southampton, MA. Peg was active in town as a member of the Southampton Congregational Church, singing in the choir and serving numerous charitable roles in the church. She worked for many years at the William E. Norris Elementary School in town where her children attended. She also worked at Charles Schwab and for Baystate Health in Springfield, MA. Peg was a devoted wife and mother, and that devotion and love continued with her time with her grandchildren. She loved the holidays and spending time with family and friends, always eager to host her wonderful Thanksgiving and Easter dinners. Although she lived in Florida for a brief time, she realized the Southampton area was her home, near family and friends. Peg (Mom) will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Mary Catharine Jalbert for the many years of dedication and loving care for our mother. The family would also like to thank the staff at Armbrook Village (Compass).
A wake will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Easthampton on Friday, February 17th from 4-6 PM.
