WESTFIELD – Margery (Strong) Rogers, 89, of Westfield, died December 26, 2019 at her home. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 21, 1930 to the late Henry S. and Isabel (Baker) Strong. Margery graduated from Westfield High School and worked her entire career at Berkshire (Woronoco) Bank, holding numerous positions including teller, Little River Branch Manager, and Assistant Treasurer, retiring in 1992. After retirement, she spent winters in Winter Garden, FL with her husband until 2005. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pioneer Valley Dance Club and Central Baptist Church. Marge enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, traveling and especially spending time with her family. She was a loving and compassionate daughter, sister, friend, mom, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and her life partner and husband of 52 years, Albert in 2005. She leaves to cherish her memories: son Gary L Rogers, of Windermere, FL, daughter Judith B (Lou) Paquette of Westfield, and Scott A (Nancy) Rogers of Westfield, eight grandchildren: Heather (Dave) Dexheimer, Kristin Paquette, Brandon Paquette (Briana), Brent Nowak, Jason Rogers (Sara), Joseph (Madelyn) Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Douglas Rogers, and six great grandchildren: Alexis Madsen, Joli, Lainna, and Khloe Dexheimer. and Noah and Sadie Rogers; niece Linda (Enko) Fuller, and nephew Brian Strong. She also leaves her cousin Carol (Wood) Warner and family in Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 starting at 12:30PM, with funeral service at 2:00PM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St, followed with a burial service at the Mass Memorial Veteran Cemetery in Agawam at 3:00PM.
