WESTFIELD – Marion S. (Supinsky) Lis, 98, of Westfield died March 20, 2013 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Feeding Hills on November 20, 1914, daughter of the late Frank and Camelia (Dombrosky) Supinsky.
She resided there until her marriage in 1938 at which time she became a resident of Westfield. She worked at several places early in her life. Her main employment was Sears Roebuck where she worked first in the Westfield store and then worked at the Eastfield Mall store in Springfield until her retirement at age 80. She was a longstanding member of Holy Trinity Church and a member of the Polish Women’s Alliance. She devoted many years to the service of Holy Trinity and the Sisters of St. Joseph. Marion was an outstanding gardener and every year her garden was a showplace of color and beauty. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed making her Polish specialties and baking her delicious pies for her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Lis in 1993 and by her only child, Francis Lis in 1985. Marion leaves two grandchildren, Wayne Lis of Southwick, William Lis (Darla) of Southwick; two great grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda Lis and her daughter-in-law Peggy Lis-Barone and her husband Paul. Marion’s family wishes to thank the staff of Renaissance Manor Nursing Home and Noble Hospital for their care and concern for Marion.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick, MA. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted.
